  • Oh my God, Dances with Wolves, The Goodfellas, Godfather III and Ghost...?WHAT A YEAR! why cant we have this now?

  • @GreenGoblinsOckVenom You obviously missed the point of the film. Dances with wolves opened up one of America's most shameful historical episodes, that of the virtual extermination of its indigenous inhabitants, in a way that portrayed these people not as the bloodthirsty savages that stood in the way of progress as had been done in the past, but as the highly developed, complex societies that they indeed were. The film was beautifully shot and highly evocative, and that is why it won.

  • *I* will never forget. Truly one of the most beautiful, poignant films of all time.

  • GOODFELLAS GOT ROBBED!!

  • I felt like clapping hands with all of them ^^" but, well, it would have been weird.

  • Funny how people say this movie does not hold up. You're kidding right? I, too, am one of those people who believe GoodFellas was the superior film of the 2. However, it does not lessen this brilliant film in any way. This movie was still very deserving of the win and im not actually upset that it did.

  • Dances With Wolves just doesn't hold up. Goodfellas is a fucking classic. What a shame.

  • definately well deserved oscar!

as for Goodfellas - i never understood all the hype about this movie. it's really not outstanding in any way. nothing brilliant or original about Goodfellas in my opinion. that's why @thepresident45 gets thumb down

  • Barbra looks gorgeous!

  • @SKSelphie How about 2007 mate? That was a fantastic year. There Will Be Blood, No Country For Old Men, Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. Next year is looking fantastic too

  • Thank you for You Tubing this. This movie; exceptional in every way, told the truth about the history of the horrible atrocities that the Native Americans experienced by early Americans. This is the true American History and this movie captured it deserving the Oscar and more.

  • @spxeli you got that from cracked
