"Dances With Wolves" winning Best Picture

Goodfellas...always!!!Best picture-epic

I wouldn't call Costner the best anything (The guy made The Postman and helped with Water World for Christ sake, and those were abominations!), but Dances with Wolves was the appropriate 'Movie of the Year', and best movie of that year. Though, Goodfellas was an amazing piece of work itself.

They also used same based story on Avatar :)

Dances with wolves are such an great beutiful movie. Avatar used alot of the story from it and still many movies use that kliche :) which i love:D

As usual the Oscars get it wrong. Are you effin' kidding me? Dances With the Stupid Wolves wins over GoodFuckinFellas! Epic fail!

It was a tough year but seriously, you can't really compare a western set in the 1860s with a 1970s set organized crime film!

I have thought about this issue long and hard, and I've come up with this.. Dances With Wolves is truly an American film master piece... It starts out as a story about a man, and then becomes a story about a people... But in the end, you realize it's a story about America, and manifest destiny..

And while Goodfellas is spectacular, it's just a little less so, IMO..
