Ernest Hancock is the man. He hooked us up with some nylon-reenforced vinyl and his billboard stencil (you saw it in that other video about the old truck stop turned Ron Paul ad) and we made a giant, house-sized Ron Paul Revolution banner in a parking garage in Philadelphia before the Liberty Rally.

  • ...jealous....nice signage :)

  • Hehe, thanks. But don't be jealous. Odds are that you can make your own, and that the material will be free. This is nylon-reinforced vinyl, the crazy-durable stuff they make billboard wraps out of. It never breaks down so they have to pay to dispose of it when they change billboards. Search for "outdoor advertisers" in your area and ask to speak to the "operations manager". He'll probably have some sitting around and be happy to let you take them off his hands.

  • good idea....might have to try that...I made a bunch of 42" x 78" banners...gonna post the video after we put them up on the 15th.

  • Sweet! Can't wait to see them! :)

  • Does anyone know a good place to get the used billboard sheets?

  • go to google and type in "outdoor advertising" and the name of your city and state, so like:

    outdoor advertising Norfolk, VA

Get all their phone numbers and addresses and call or go there (preferably) and ask to speak to the "operations manager". It costs them like 10 bucks to dispose of a this stuff so they'll let you take it for free.

  • That is Great!

  • It may seem enormous up close but it's actually just a nice size. Well done.
