ANYAYYYYYZZZZ...thanks for posting this match. It is one of the most memorable to me, as this was the era that I grew up competing in the juniors. I'll never forget when Lendl hit that top-spin lob over Cash's head to stay in the match. I though Cash had him, as did many other a human. I alwasy liked Cash, Becker, and Wilander as my favorite players. They seemed to have the most "individualism" to them, along with charisma.

I thought the French Open victory helped him here. This match really took away the choke label but I do believe Lendl felt that he was given this match the way he responded to McEnroe the next day.

you dont understand lendl was so stiff the next day he couldnt even bend down to touch his feet he barely could bend over to touch his knees,im sure mcenroe was stiff too but i think it hurt lendl more than mcenroe.
