@scotthovsepian88 I wouldn't say that old Foreman's power was overrated because he still had the power to knockout Michael Moorer and become undisputed heavyweight champ well into his 40s. Granted, Moorer wasn't known for having the greatest chin either, but when you look at the power of Foreman, nobody does, lol. Look at his fight with Holyfield. He nearly took Holyfield's head off with nothing but his jab, lol.

@xBMF9000x I agree, it only takes one shot from a big man to get you out of there. I'm still shocked that Morrison was able to take some flush shots from Foreman. Maybe Old FOreman's power is a bit overrated, but Tommy took them pretty good.

@scotthovsepian88 well he did take Foreman's stuff and Foreman has to be the most heavy handed fighter who ever lived. I'll admit that Morrison wasn't on par with the guys that you named, but it seems to me like every time he got KO'd, it was because he got absolutely railed by somene. Thats why they say that it is always sudden death with heavyweights because all it takes is one shot.

@xBMF9000x Plus I'm comparing Morrison to other heavyweights, and compared to them his chin is pretty weak. Tyson, Holyfield, Foreman, Bowe, Holmes, Mercer, McCall to name a lot have far better chins than Morrison. Lewis is not known for a great chin and even his is superior to Morrison.

@xBMF9000x Old FOreman has a far worse defense and he took multiple shots without going down. I guess the point I'm trying to make is Morrison isn't durable enough to be champion. He's on the level of a Michael Moorer, but even Moorer proved he could be champion and beat top tier opposition. Morrison never proved that.

@scotthovsepian88 I wouldn't go that far. As I said in the continuation of my first comment, ANY man who weights 200lbs or more has the ability to KO someone with 1 shot, even Michael Bentt or even the feather handed Chris Byrd. Some heavyweights are just better at doing it than others but they're ALL capable of it. Having said that, I don't think his chin was the problem, I think all of the shots that he ate caught up with him, his defense wasn't exactly great.
-
@xBMF9000x Well, Mercer wasn't the only man to knock Morrison out. Carl Williams knocked him down twice. Michael Bentt, who didn't have KO power, knocked him out. Ruddock was one punch away from getting the job done. His chin was definitely shaky.
-
Ahhhh, the good ol' days when Tommy was on the way up.
-
@chamanista That's why I personally don't think that it is fair to call a heavyweight as having a weak chin because anyone who weighs 200 lbs or more has the power to KO a man with one shot. Some of 'em are just better at pulling it off than others but they're all able to do it.
-
@chamanista To be perfectly honest, it wasn't his chin that was the problem, it was his defense. He ate a LOT of punches. His chin was called into question by punches that would have KO'd anyone. Look at what Mercer did to him, there's not a heavyweight in the past, present, or future who could take that beating and keep standing. Any time that TM got KO'd it was from a punch that would have floored anyone. (continued)
@IBREAKJAWS yeah he did. Like another person said he was much better in his prime. By this time Quick was on his self destruction spiral. Tommy was on his way up and a great puncher.
