The video features a few daytime shots and our first train to Carlisle at 18.18, we returned on the 21.50 from Carlisle, the very last train to use the station before dismantling begins immediately. The signs had already gone.
My wife and I were the very last passengers to use the Workington North Station, braving the "alcohol bus" from Carlisle to Workington to alight at Workington North Station on the very last train to use the temporary station. A number of Northern dignitaries travelled alongside us but got off before us (they didnt pay either!). As we pulled into Workington North, the Conductor announced "the next station stop is Workington North- for the very last time!" -the boozed up yobby crowds cheered and were quickly tamed by two British Transport Police officers.
we filmed the sad sight of the train leaving for the last time.
