  • His reference was to foreign countries. But in reference to labour, you're right, abuses happened in the north and South in the past. Let's look to the future though - we wish liberty and self-determination, not tyranny and oppression.

  • yes there were. Look at state population censuses. There were slaves all over america when the 2nd constitution was ratified and well after. Even states that outlawed it set statutes that the current slaves weren't free only their kids when they reached 21. The northern view was white supremacy, which filtered down from new england with it's white supremacist views. Free states were free "white only states" same with the west, how
