When some Russian rebels takes control of some ICBM's, the Americans mobilize. Among the vessels sent is the nuclear sub, the Alabama. But before they leave they need a new X.O. and among the choices is Commander Hunter, who hasn't seen much action. But the ship's Captain, Ramsey OK's him. While on the way, there was an incident and Hunter disagreed with how Ramsey handled it, it's evident that Ramsey doesn't think much of Hunter because Hunter was college educated while Ramsey worked his way up. They're given orders to attack but when they were in the process of receiving another order, the ship's communications were damaged, so the entire message was not received. Ramsey decides to continue with their previous order while Hunter wants to reestablish contact first. That's when the two men butt heads that ends with Hunter relieving Ramsey. Later when some men die, some of the officers feel that Hunter is not up to the task so they team up to retake control. But Hunter has taken precautions.
In the near future, Russian rebels have taken over one of the ICBM bases in the USSR. Alarmed by the prospect of a rebel strike, the U.S. sends the U.S.S. Alabama, a nuclear ballistic submarine, to watch over the base and retaliate in case they launch. While on patrol, the submarine is attacked and the radio systems are knocked out, but after first receiving an emergency message from HQ to launch nuclear missiles at the rebels. A second emergency message received during the battle is only partially recovered. Captain Ramsey decides to carry out the first order to launch the missiles regardless while XO Hunter wants to wait for a successful receipt of the second message once the radio systems are repaired. The conflict escalates into mutiny as Ramsey and Hunter fight for control of the Alabama's nuclear missiles.

@Rangerpl1322 nice way of ducking my points and questions, no wonder it´s called the american dream because you have to be asleep in order to believe it

@syh11s029 You lack both the credentials and the intelligence to keep making claims like this. All I can say is, keep living in your delusions.
I'm done with this discussion.

@syh11s029 The United States has shown time and time again that it can defeat these so-called "sand niggers" without much problems. Iraq had the fifth-largest army in the world in 1991 and yet the Coalition crushed them in 100 hours. Please, explain to me how that was possible.
The world depends on America because all the major banks are here. If America collapses, lending ends and the world comes crashing down just as it did in 1929.

@syh11s029 Most of America's food comes from china? I think you need to fact-check that. The United States has a tremendous abundance of it. Of course you are going to tell me that these are all FOX news lies but this information is out there.
As for Russia, they have problems of their own. The population is dirt poor, their infrastructure is in shambles and corruption is widespread.
Europe is going to fall apart quite soon, their debt issues are staggering.
Quit embarassing yourself.

@Rangerpl1322 who told you all of this, fox news?? you guys can´t even beat some sand niggers in flip flop and u think china won´t be difficult?? not to mention vietnam were they kicked your ass. the whole world depends on china and the big corps who have outsourced there would even support china. the world depends on china not america
" You'd see millions of people out of work and hundreds of businesses would go bankrupt. " yeah thats exactly what is happening to usa

@Rangerpl1322 blow me, you seem to leave out that many big corps in the usa have outsourced to china,over 40 million live in poverty in america and even more don´t have health insurances and live on foodstamps. you´re falling way behind, you seem to think that only china would be inflicted by the war. even though most opf americas food comes from china, btw china has good ties with both iran, russia and europe, usa needs china more than china needs usa. everyone depends on china

@syh11s029 (continuation...)
If war broke out, it's most likely that China would just sit there. They can't even invade Taiwan, much less the United States, as their navy simply can't do it. That leaves economic warfare. If all trade between the US and the PRC stopped, prices on products in the US would rise due to the sudden lack of cheap imported products from China. China, however, would be devastated. You'd see millions of people out of work and hundreds of businesses would go bankrupt.

@syh11s029 You are either a troll or you simply lack the mental capacity to make an intelligent argument.
China's economy is very closely attached to that of the United States because the US is their #1 trading partner. When the US suffered the economic crisis in 2008, millions of Chinese lost their jobs because Americans weren't buying as many of their products as they did before.
