Magic Carpet Ride in San Francisco - Aerial Tour

August 1999 - Justin and Whitney joined me on a business trip to San Francisco. It was a blast! We took a cruise to Alcatraz, shopped in China Town, Biked across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito and we spent some time down at Fisherman's Wharf. We enjoyed plenty of seafood and sourdough bread bowls filled with tasty clam chowder. We had rented our bikes near Pier 39 for the ride across the Golden Gate bridge. When we returned them, we wandered along the wharf taking in the sights. We discovered the "Virtual Vacation" tour of San Francisco courtesy of Studio 39. They welcomed us to our "Magic Carpet" in a Green Room and shot video while we tried our best to "play along" with the effects mix on nearby video monitors. We hope you enjoy our Magic Carpet Ride!

Technical Note: Your viewing experience will depend on the settings and resolution of your monitor. I've tested it on a few screens and it appears very clean on some and a little over saturated and "contrasty" on others. ADDITIONAL NOTES: I posted this previously, but now have better VHS to Digital conversion equipment and software, so I decided to "fix it." The fixes include: Better VHS capture for clarity, rippling, anti-roll and more accurate color, Color Correction, White Balance, Contrast, Gamma, Gain, etc., Digital cropping to eliminate the "operator errors" when the Studio 39 tech would zoom too far out and lose the "Green Screen" Chroma Effect, Cleaning up opening/closing titles to eliminate "dead air" and allow for text updates. There's more but, if you care, you'll ask.
