Bishop Cistone enters the Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption for evening prayer on July 27, the eve of his installation as the sixth Bishop of Saginaw.
It's actually a tradition although seldom done anymore, in more traditional churches the doors are made of wood and the bishop taps the door 3 times.. But I must admit it looks a bit strange on a glass door, lol
