how did you change the ugly pioneer startup screen to the one you have? is your hard drive unlocked?

There is an option to change the different backgrounds in one of the settings menus. The hard drive is stock.

I just got my AVIC Z1, was wondering how you put your own back ground, like you have of the Infiniti symbol.

I burned some images to a CD and then went through the setup to change the appropriate background images.

You can add pictures using a cd/dvd. Can't remember exactly how, but either you can find it on avic411 or in the owner's manual.Updating is also done i think either through the cd/dvd method or through other similar means.
