@theloner90 No, you don't have to take off and land in your driving test.

@ArjenJongeling probably flaps 20, not to exceed 200 i believe

@capacityplus I'm building a 737 simulator and I also wonder how they do that. A compromise setting would only be set if you know in advance you're going around. I just did a quick search [1] and I believe they go full throttle, just take off at normal speed and if the flaps are still traveling, worry about that later.
[1] can't post hyperlinks but google on "737 touch and go retract flaps in time"

When Pilots do their training do they train @ a regular airport? Meaning if it's @ a regular airport then how would 1 runway be available specifically for them to train on? When he 1st takes off it seems like it's in a regular airport w/ other planes parked @ their gates. Or is an "Airport Training Camp" (like 1 desolate airport) maybe they use a Private Airport? I'm just curious & yes he seems to progress during his training.

@FlyBoeing777 Or Junior FO. At CX and other airlines, junior FOs as well as SOs both have 2 stripes.

Sweet! I love touch and go landings. His best landing was his third attempt. Nonetheless, he's a heck of a lot better than anything I could ever do!
This is wonderful to watch. Thank you very much for showing this.

since this video was taken in the late 90', it's safe to assume this FO probably made Captain by now. He's probably enjoying this video more than most of us.
