Enjoy the beautiful voice of Sinatra back in the 1940. This was recorded live for the radio. I guess our parents or grandparents must have danced to this romantic song. Here the lyrics:
The sky fell down when I met you,
The green of the countryside has turned to blue,
I had the moon right on my fingertips,
And when first we kissed, there were stars on your lips.

@greeneyesmexico It almost sounds like high fidelity. When RCA released the Frank Sinatra/Tommy Dorsey CD box set years back, they did an incredible job digitally cleaning up the recordings. I don't know if that set is even available anymore. It's really a priceless collection!

Such a beautiful recording, but it was not "recorded live for the radio." This is the Victor studio recording (Victor #26518) recorded 2-1-40. It was Frank's first recording for Tommy Dorsey.

@RickC50 Thanks for the info. I thought this was recorded from a live broadcast, like so many times with artists from that era.....sure sounds like it.

Thanks very much for posting! Very hard one to find. Played in the film "Used People". Great movie in my opinion and one of my favorite Sinatra tunes. Crazy that it's so hard to find.
