Factory Farming

This was a video I made for my Government class showing the living conditions for animals in Factory Farms. The song is Open your Eyes by Guano Apes

Edit: Okay. Before commenting like an idiot about how farms aren't like this please stop and notice that this is a FACTORY farm. If you don't know what that is you should probably look it up. Don't bother posting something unless you can control yourself because I'm just going to start removing idiotic comments.

dude after i saw this video a couple years ago i called tysons and flipped the FUCK OUT!!!! Fuck them and im not an activist but SOMETHING needs to be done and i think its time. on my property there is a pump house that runs shit DIRECTLY into our river! i swim there and so do my nieces and family. i go catfishing there and as ive grown up there are less and less. our futures are over if we dont do something guys. contact me if you can help. i live in virginia

This is inhumane treatment of living creatures. What makes them any different than puppies, kittens or horses? Yet people still particpate in the slaughter in such innocent creatures.

@theTerribleFamiliar I agree with you. I also was raised on a small family farm and my father raised livestock (chickens for eggs and pork for meat) and those animals were taken care of. My father treated his farm animals like royalty and the locker he dealt with for the end was also owned by a small family that put them down for butchering very humanely.

@goodday306 You know the cows are only put in these tight living conditions just the day or two before slaughter.  Before that point they do live in open fields and pastures.

@theTerribleFamiliar the thing is though its just not economically practical to go back to the family farm. i think factory farming should be abolished and be replaced by large scale free range farming so the animals have enough space to freely roam around and can experience daylight. it wouldnt cost that much more and we could subsidise the cost of food by taxes so the price is the same as factory farmed.

if aliens conquered the world and put human beings in a small factory where no one could move or see daylight and then placed on a moving escalator to be electrocuted and slaughtered we'd consider them to be the most diabolical creatures that exist. but when we do it its ok?

i think we should go back to free range and subsidise the cost of food by taxes so the price is the same as factory farmed. agriculture makes up only 1% of our economy so we wouldnt even notice the difference in taxes.
