Music by Romane

I learned this piece from his book "L´Esprit Manouche". It is usually played a lot faster, but even at this slower tempo it´s at the very edge of my ability at this time.
Still I like the sound and the lighting in this video, and I sincerely hope y´all will enjoy it.

Have fun :-)

  • Hi again, one question: For the Intro and Rythm section you are not playing the shapes given in the book, right? Because for example, the first Am chord of the intro in the book is 6th string 5th fret (thumb), 5th string 7th fret (middle finger), 4th string 7th fret (middle finger), 3rd string 5th fret (index), 2nd string 5th fret (index). This shape is very difficult because of the thumb, and i think you are not using the shapes given in the book. Am I right? I just can't play chords with thumb.

  • @GassyCoke Yes, I´m using different shapes as well, not exactly by the book.

You needn´t use the thumb to fret bass notes, but it´s worth getting used to it.

For more detailed questions please send a message, okay ?

    Thanks ;-)

  • Many thanks for this exellent video ... It helps a lot. I too had trouble with voicing the chords given in the book... Your Am6 makes a lot more sense. Thanks again.

    Greetings from Holland

  • Great Video Mucklum. Your technique looks great and the video is set up really well. I'm learning out of L'esprit Manouche as well, which is the most amazing guitar book i've ever read. I've just posted my swing fof ninine last week. It's not as good as yours but I'm happy with it for now! Keep up the good work, I'm waiting for your next post!
