Tim Westwood was the inspiration for Ali G. I saw Sasha Baron Cohen, who created and played Ali G, say many times that he based Ali G on Tim Westwood. A middle class suburban guy who puts on a fake working class accent (with a hint of Jamaican) when he speaks, who wants you to think he grew up on the mean streets of the inner city. Also Westwood's hand movements when he talks. Tim Westwood is one of the oddest and funniest people (for all the wrong reasons) on TV. He wishes he was black.
