LG GD910 Hardware and Software Review

We finally get to spend some quality time with the LG 3G watch phone. The hardware is attractive, and if you've got wrists that are big enough, you'll have no problem wearing the device as a watch full time.

On the software end, the offering is minimal, as you might expect from a device so small. The GD910 can make and take voice and video calls, it can play music, take and display photos, keep a contact list, do math with a calculator, plus a variety of other PIM functions like voice recording, note-taking, and task list. All syncing must be done with the included dock and computer cable, so don't expect to get wireless sync. In terms of messaging, the GD910 can do SMS, but not email.

Overall, the GD910 is undoubtedly a cool device and works very well as a simple phone. Beyond that, don't expect it to replace your smartphone. Also, with a price around $1000, it's prohibitively expensive. If this device cost a quarter of the price, it could be a cool gadget to have around for the weekends or for times when you don't want a smartphone in your pocket. Great video i have the gd910 and cant fault it the screen brightness i9s roughly the same as when its say at 100 and eighty this saves a fair bit on battery BUT i have used mine on full and sent 30 texts made 30 mins calls received 10 mins and still got over 17 hours even using bluetooth i have thin wrists and the strap is great and fits great when u adjust it mines unlocked and works great on 3g infact get a signal where my iphone 4 don't

turn brightness on new toys to one level above the lowest to maximize brightness/battery life/ screen life. over time when screen darkens, raise a notch
