F-22 Raptor - Air Superiority Stealth Fighter

F-22 Raptor is an Air Superiority Stealth Strike Fighter and the worlds best Air to Air fighter...Lockheed Martin claims that the Raptor's combination of stealth, speed, agility, precision and situational awareness, combined with air-to-air and air-to-ground combat capabilities, makes it the best overall fighter in the world today. Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston, Chief of the Australian Defence Force, said in 2004 that the "F-22 will be the most outstanding fighter plane ever built."

The F-22 is highly maneuverable, at both supersonic and subsonic speeds. It is extremely departure-resistant enabling it to remain controllable at extreme pilot inputs. The Raptor's thrust vectoring nozzles allow the aircraft to turn tightly, and perform extremely high alpha (angle of attack) maneuvers such as the Herbst maneuver (or J-turn), Pugachev's Cobra,and the Kulbit, though the J-Turn is more useful in combat.The F-22 is also capable of maintaining a constant angle of attack of over 60°, yet still having some control of roll.During June 2006 exercises in Alaska, F-22 pilots demonstrated that cruise altitude has a significant effect on combat performance, and routinely attributed their altitude advantage as a major factor in achieving an unblemished kill ratio against other US fighters and 4th/4.5th generation fighters.

I love how all these foreigners talk about about how the F-22 sucks like they are the engineers who designed it. Anyone can read a Wikipedia page and spew numbers, but please people, this is a military aircraft. Do you honestly think all those numbers are going to be completely accurate? Why would Lockheed or the USAF give its playbook to the other team? In reality, you're just jealous

@serversss1 Wrong. The Su-35 is less maneuverable than the Su-30/33 (which is the most maneuverable Flanker) by 2 DPS/S. The F-22 has a higher turn rate than even the Su-33 by 7 DPS/I and 5 DPS/S. The F-22 also has a higher pitch rate, thrust to weight, climb rate, cruise speed, and max speed. The Flankers have a longer range and combat radius, that's it. We've had exact technical data on the Su-30/33 since 2008. Don't watch too many Russian airshow videos my friend.

@AeroSharkTech THe Su-30 has longer range because the American counterpart, the F-15E Strike Eagle also has a longer range. The Su-30 is the Russian answer to the F-15E like the Su-27 is the Russian answer to the F-15C.

This jet is how american fighter jets should look. but not only does it look the best of any fighter jet, it is the best! i don't care how much money it took to make the 187 they made. It was worth it by far. Superior is an understatement.

in 1v1 with f22 no aircraft because the other guy won't know untill he is warned with missile launch. Unless the other plane is also stealthy like f22
