Devil May Cry Playthrough Part 6 - Missions 5 & 6

If you stand on the spear like move that the Shadow does and shoot at it very fast with Ebony and Ivory, there's a good chance it'll go into it's suicide phase after it's done attacking. That's their weakness. Shadow's are only aggressive should you attack them back, so if you want to get rid of them quickly, use that method.
