The reason it sounds like Resident evil music. Is because originally Devil May Cry was originally meant to be Resident Evil 4, but it became so radically different from the other games that the made it a different series all together.

If you stand on the spear like move that the Shadow does and shoot at it very fast with Ebony and Ivory, there's a good chance it'll go into it's suicide phase after it's done attacking. That's their weakness. Shadow's are only aggressive should you attack them back, so if you want to get rid of them quickly, use that method.

Yep, I never thought I could stand on their spear. I was afraid if I tried I was gonna get hit (might not have happened, but didn't want to risk anything). Good idea, I will try that next time.
