Kde programs run perfectly on my Macbook when compiled with Fink using the X11 window manager. Here I'm using Konqueror and Amarok run from KDE's "kicker" taskbar, so I no longer need a virtual linux machine :)
To convert Palm Desktop dba files for importing to Google's Gcal calendar format try Dba2Csv at http://www.dba2csv.com.
To make it easy, download macports. After installing create a file in your home directory called ".profile". add these lines to it:
"export PATH=/opt/local/bin:/opt/local/sbin:$PATH" and
"export MANPATH=/opt/local/share/man:$MANPATH"
in the terminal type:
"sudo port install kde"
this might take awhile...
Add a file called ".xinitrc" to your home directory and in this file add these lines:
"/opt/local/bin/startkde"
then Launch X11.app and it should automatically start KDE.

I've got KDE running on my Mac, mainly for Amarok.
Just wait until KDE 4 is released! KDE can be compiled against the native QT 4.0 libaries and not require X11. Someone has already compiled the Alpha version to be a native Mac app.

How did you do that and can it also work with Gnome apps and the Gnome desktop?
