  • Don't worry too much, videos are subjective & result in a lot of 1/2 truths. Nice healthy babie this one, good plumage starting, if it is 7 day old. Tossdart

  • it is abiut 7 days old

we in belgium wean, separate from parents , at the age of 22 a 23 days ,from the breeding loft to the loft of the young pigeons, together with a few old hens to feed them for a few days

  • where in canada?

  • klak and prut are local races in the netherlands ,but also well known

in belgium everybody has crossings with the janssens race ,but it is more a name from the past

  • @amythemayo .

  • does anyone know any tricks on how to get a ring on an old bird pigeon?

  • Northern Central Alberta

  • I still prefer my method. Like I said the pigeon in my vid is too big as I waited for second order of bands in mail. That bird needs to be flown now as an old bird & is a yearling. His feet were ginormous. Normally they just sit in my hand & I use thumb & index a lot to pull thumb toe through. Everyone has their own method but babie feels safe in hand & does not pull or stuggle & legs normally sit forward in bowl. If you notice the bird I band is actually supported by my palms & fingers.
