I stared long and hard at Brandi and Noah. Brandi didn't notice but Noah did. She kept staring back observing me too. I felt tears build up in my eyes. I can't believe this. I never knew I had more than just Jack. I slightly smiled at the thought. Kevin came over and sat down besides me.
"You okay?" He asked rubbing my back.
"Never better." I smiled at Kevin he smiled back and walked back into his room. Brandi hung up the phone and looked over at me.
"Hey, what's wrong...." She paused for a minute.
"Marissa." I laughed wiping the tears that have escaped my eyes. She nodded."I'm just happy is all."
"About?"
"Everything." I smiled and she smiled back.
"Well, my parents are going to come any minute so thanks Marissa." She patted my knee. She dropped her hand because of my cold skin. She went back over to Noah. Nick walked up to me.
"Do you think they are your real parents?" He pulled me closer to him.
"Not sure. I hope so. Can you tell me?" I looked into his eyes. He smiled and nodded. I heard a car drive down the road a 100 yards away. I saw the car and it was a brand new mustang. It was red.
"Damn. That is one hot car." Nick gasped. I rolled my eyes and elbowed him a little. There was a knock on the door and Nick answered it while I stared in aw. They had to be my parents. The mom looked just like Brandi. Nick came over to me and smiled. Their mom hugged them.
"Nick?" I looked at him. He looked down and smiled.
"They're your parents." I gasped. I looked at them and felt my eyes start to sting. I can't believe this. I walked up to them and hugged them lightly. They didn't hug back because they were obviously shocked and confused. I looked at them water pouring down my eyes.
"Uhm. Mom. This is Marissa. Marissa this is my mom Tish." Tish shot her head up as soon as she heard my name. So did MY father.
"Marissa?" They both whispered stunned. I smiled and nodded. Suddenly, tears filled there eyes.
"Oh my god!" My mom hugged me again.
"Mom. Dad." I cried. I pulled away. There eyes were red and watery.
"Can I know what is going on please?" Brandi pointed to us.
"Brandi. Noah. This is your sister." Mom pushed them towards me. Their eyes widened.
"I can't believe I'm finally meeting you Marissa!" Tish hugged me tightly.
"I can't believe I'm finally meeting my actual parents." I cried. She pulled away.
"Where is Jack? I have to meet him!" She smiled. This broke my heart.
"Uhm. Jack passed away couple of days ago." I whispered. I looked at their faces and they looked heart broken.
"What?" Everybody asked now. "How?"
"Uhm...murder."
"Oh my god! That's just awful!!!" Tish cried into my dad's arm.
"Yeah. You guys should come to the funeral tomorrow. I'm sure he would like that." I forced a smile.
"That would be wonderful. Thank you." My dad said.
"Can I ask you something?" I asked.
"Sure, anything." Dad said.
"Well, if they are my actual sisters and you are my actual parents, then why did you give me and Jack away?"
