Nick Tepesch enters the game during a 3-1 win versus the San Diego St. Aztecs on February 29 of the University of San Diego tournament. The 6-foot-5, 224 pound right-hander was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 28th round of the 2007 First-Year Player Draft. He did not sign. The Mizzou freshman hails from Blue Springs High School in Missouri where he went 9-0 with a 1.50 earned run average as a senior. Louisville Slugger named him a high school All-American and as the best player in the state of Missouri. Gatorade also named him as the Player of the Year in the state of Missouri.
