In this tutorial I'm showing how to extract a model from a green screen in a non-destructive way. I'm also covering a few techniques about how to deal with hair.

@RottingQueen ;; With the masking the avatar - it works if your green is #00ff00; no other green.

This method doesn't seem to work in CS5. During the creation of the mask - if I bring Fussiness over 50 - all the image details begin to show in grayscale. And then in Refine Edges, we do not have the ability to contract anymore. . . Once I had those two steps both fail, I stopped trying. ;[

You need to press the invert button in the color range area, then click the green. Then it works.

The part about making the mask before taking off the background isn't working for me. It's taking out the model only and the model is all white before I do it. So it's not letting me to the refine tool to make the green get out of the hair. I use PS5. But other then that This vid is really helpful.

This video is seriously useful, I'd always tried painting colour and it'd do everywhere, and this video teaches about clipping masks, and of course refine edge and stuff. Thank you soooooo much
