Tom Nook's Tasks, Chores, and Jobs:
Tom Nook runs the local general store all by himself and could use a helping hand with some work. To help pay off your debt to the vendor raccoon, visit his shop after buying a house from him to become his "star" part-time employee. Slip into the stylin' work uniform Tom Nook gives you and work your way toward becoming debt-free by completing each eroneous task he gives you. You must perform each of the assignments he gives, sending you out. Until you recieve a map so you can find your way around where you originally stumbled, you'll have to resort to the public town map board located at the train station in A-3 and then the Police Station somewhere in town. Here are your things to do:
+ Mission 01 (1), Spruce Up The Shop Grounds:
Plant Flowers and Sapling trees around the shop Nook's Cranny. Many pretty colors and breeds of flowers await as your planting them all. Stand where you want to plant something, choose the item from your inventory menu and select plant. You could plant everything Nook gives anywhere in town if you'd like, maybe spruce up your back yard or the top of a waterfall.
Reward: 80 bells (currency, money, cash, bucks, dollars)
+ Mission 02 (2), Meet and Greet the Villagers:
Well, apperently Nook wants you to have people skills, so he forces you to socially interact with others. Introduce yourself, use the train and police station maps to find your way around. if you miss someone, Nook will throw you back out to meet everyone. Six (6) neighbors, plus the Mayor at the wishing well square of commerce. Once you've finished meeting the villagers and Mayor Tortimer as a social affair, you can return for more, real work.
+ Mission 03 (3), Deliver the Furniture:
Tom will give you a map. Some special order furniture arrived for one of the villagers, so you must play errand boy / girl. Deliver the goods to the recipient and withdraw back to Nook's Cranny for additional assignments.
Reward: 230 bells (The money isn't yours, it's slowly paying off your debt)
+ Mission 04 (4), Send a Direct Mailer:
Tom will request you to write a letter to a certain villager. Make it catchy, not long but short sweet and too the point. This here's a sales pitch, so use the stationery he gives you. Once your finished writing, run the letter post haste to the Post Office!
Reward: 130 bells (Ain't Nook the biggest cheapskate ever?!)
+ Mission 05 (5), Lend a Hand:
Since you seem to be doing rather well, Tom is temporarily out of stuff for you to accomplish on his behalf... so he says "Go out and see if you can be a good helpful individual, the villagers of the forest town might have something for you to do." Go out and find someone that needs help and help them. You need to help a minimum of one person, but if you like you could run around for awhile doing odd jobs for however long you wish. Return to Nook's Cranny for your next job task.
Reward: Villagers may give bells, clothes, furniture, wallpaper, carpet, etc.
+ Mission 06 (6), Doorstep Carpet Delivery:
Carpet Delivery, your chore this round is too run around town again, this time dropping off an item for someone. The animal will be eccentric and happy that they'll give you their one in return. Spread out your new carpet at your pad or sell it for bells later on. It'll be a decent amount of cash if you choose to sell the stuff you acquired thus far.
Reward: 580 bells (Nook's toying with your head)
+ Mission 07 (7), Special Axe Delivery:
The villager you sent the super direct mailer advertisement to has ordered an axe. Deliver the item to the critter hastefully. The axe is neatly wrapped, the animal you sent the letter to will comment on it. Usually with funny results ;) Return to Nook after chatting it up and shootin' the breeze.
Reward: 230 bells (You should have kept the axe for yourself, you'd have gotten some good use of it on a certain raccoon shopkeeper.)
+ Mission 08 (8), Advertise on the Bulletin Board:
Your last vital task is to write up an ad for Nook's Cranny, his little shop needs business as you may have realized. He wants something that won't "embarass" him but something radical, spicy hot, that'll be catchy and at the same time draw attention.
Reward: FREEDOM SWEET SWEET FREEDOM!
With some debt left to pay and no more mindless tasks to perform for the tyrant Nook, I run for my life! The train station was the best bet trying to escape this horrible town (place)!
