A correction to my post: Wonder wrote this before his accident. And he actually said , himself, 'I would like to believe in reincarnation. .... I think sometimes we have a second consciousness on this earth... ". I cannot dictate to people as to whether they should be blessed by a song or not, ( I like the song from an artistic point of view), but Christian performers do need to be careful.

(continues from my last post)... I am giving MM the benefit of the doubt. But I would be unimpressed if they know the meaning of the song and still went ahead and openly sang a song openly talking of reincarnation.

Stevie Wonder is one of history's greatest musicians. Case closed !! BUT he was (at one time) into some philosophies which were at odds with the gospel. This song, written after a near death experience, is apparently based on his astral projection/reincarnation beliefs. (the song talks about when he lived 'the last time around' and climbing on to higher ground ). By the way this is not one of those silly illuminati-style conspiracy theories. This was Stevie's belief system. (continued..)

@Radical4Christ Are you stating that there is nothing wrong with all r&b music? It is either righteous or unrighteous, clean or unclean. You can't have it both ways and it is easy to err off from the truth and a lot of us will not stand to be corrected, we are right in our own thinking without any consideration or asking of God.

@eritreangurrl I hear you right there, as a musician I keep an open ear to MUSIC! BUT to keep our righteousness about us we have to remember that ALL music carries a spirit, just be wary that the wrong spirit doesn't get in us. stay prayed up :)

every performance doesn't have to be blasted into the rafters...sometimes simple and clean allows us to get the message. they tend to scream their heads off sometimes!!! i loved this performance!!!
