Carol Channing will always be 'Dolly' to me. She liked Sophie Tucker, and her way of telling a joke or story. I'm a big Sophie Tucker fan, and I'd advise you to buy the original cast 'Hello, Dolly! CD, and 'The Origins Of the Red Hot Mama' CD. The former is on RCA and the latter CD is on Archeophone Records. Both CDs are landmark performances!

After a lifetime of wigs (the source of one of her funniest routines) Carol now lives with her own hair and I think looks fabulous.
