@meltz911 Thanks mate - I know it was only a Penny - but to me - it was so exciting finding this particular one - after an intense day of detecting - I was rich...in happiness. Cheer GL & HH

@1HustleKing Correct - it is a "ring"...a "ring of seaweed"...LOL I would have preferred a different material myself. Cheers GL & HH

I have the same x terra and coil (plus the DD) i thought the coin coil was not water proof?

@jpf1979james Hi - The 9" Concentric is Water Proof - the 10 x 5 DD is Water Resistant. I always use the Concentric for shallow water hunts. So I guess what Minelab are saying in their spec's for the DD - is it's ok to use in wet grass - but don't take it for a swim. Cheers GL & HH

im not sure if the numbers are any different from the x-terra 70 compared to the 705. but a penny like that will usually come up as a #30 for me..

@WetVidz I haven't used the 705 - so I can't say for sure - however - many people believe the basic guts of the two machines are the same. The 705 has a bunch of features the 70 doesn't e.g. back light screen etc. My experience is that pennies come up as 42 - 44 usually. This will change depending on soil conditions and any halo effect / corrosion / nearby object. Get the free .pdf chart from nqminersden - it's a great guide as to TID. Cheers GL & HH
