The Music industry is suffering for lack of cd sales cause many people can just get it for free.
Well now the labels are getting smart and using the world of the internet to try and get back the money they shell out.
Myspace, youtube and cell phones are just a few samples of where there going for new music.

  • Since ANYONE can get a hold of any recording software and whip up anything they want if they have a few hundred bucks and a computer, you've got a TON of bands just shelling out faceless, mindless drivel that serves no purpose to listeners. Its just there, taking up space. And thats how indie music is; sure theres variety, but theres no filter...so you're STILL getting mostly crap to sift through anyways. So why should the record industry be shunned if the end result is the same?

  • As evil as the record industry is known for being, which is true to a degree--it has one good purpose: Its stands as a sonic barrier between professional and bootleg drivel. Take youtube--great idea and it has potential for great content and SOME gets released. BUT since EVERYONE is free to upload, you get TONS of mindless BLEEEEH all day long on here. Pure trite from a bunch of hacks. Now look at music... (cont'd)

  • @Nelly305ful You are, unless you have good marketing (provided you aren't going the major label route) and you need to know your own business route. Gone are the days of the musician that can be head in the clouds. If you go Indy, you better learn to wear a loooot of shoes because youre alone in your success unless you have the money to hire someone who's educated enough to handle your booking, promotion and financing in a successful manner.

  • The music industry has been putting out the worst music for a about a decade now. No one wants to bull bullshit music.

  • @blaumausfrau

that's how you weed out the bad artists. good artists have albums that are good from beginning to end. i've never understood why anyone would want to listen to an artist if they only like one song and are disinterested in the rest of their music

  • that evan kid acts like a douschebag with his stupid technics t-shirt and sunglasses

  • This is sad, so any newcomer your doomed already

  • Sound Slave you are brain dead. Too many artists made records with one or two good songs and you had to buy the whole lousy LP to get two good songs. THAT's a good system to you? Dumb...

  • Solution; Buy Vinyils. They have better Quality and Its Old Fashioned.

  • my god all such shitty music shown in the video, why would anyone want to but that pathetic garbage.
