Why not just use a "wall wart" 12VDC 20W adapter to power the fan? It would only use $1.00 or so per month in electricity.

At $1.00 per month in power use why even bother with the solar panel. It would take 100 months + (or about 17 years if used 6 months per year) just to pay for the panel in power savings.
