Facilitates an open and frank discussion on the important but complex role of the American college president. It assesses how changes in America's political, social and business environments have affected leadership in the academy; the characteristics of effective leaders in higher education; how presidents affect the well-being of faculty, administrators and students; and survival strategies for current and future college presidents. As the one common denominator on every college or university campus, there is often too little dialogue between the college president and the full range of campus constituencies. This program provides a unique opportunity for discussion, and should not be missed by any campus that is interested in finding better ways to forge an ideal campus environment.
