We follow Matriarch Benezia who was spotted on the Corporate port of Hanshan. However there are things we have to take care of first before we start our pursuit of Benezia, Once we finally leave Peak 15 and get to the Rift Station we talk to some people to see what's going on.

Go with the squad you WANT to use, your game, your rules. I only ever use two squad members depending on what file I'm doing, like if I were going Renegade I'd pick characters very eager to blow stuff up :P

Trying to avoid spoilers -- Yes you have to work with Cerberus in the game. I didn't remember that they were an official Alliance branch before going "rogue" though. I suppose that lends credibility to their abilities in ME2.

I think for a Vanguard, or adept Tali - and Ashley make a good team. Personality wise the only character I didn't really like was Kaiden. He was just boring for me. I left him to play with the Nuke.
