Have you had any problems with the pinion in the rally after you put the lipo in? I am always needing to change the pinion because it keeps melting off the motor. I try adjusting the mesh and different size pinions and they always melt off.

i put a lipo in my stock micro t with threaded axle and if you dont go brushless you are going to fry your esc

does the lipo affect the micro dt in any way. and what is charge time and run time if u dont mind me asking? thank you

@merrell89 the lipo gives it more power/speed. It doesn't 'hurt' the micro DT in any way, except the fact that the motor is running faster, so it could potentially burn out faster than it would with a nimh battery, but don't worry about that, it will still last a LONG time.
