- First you mulch the leaves to compact them, (for pickup later with your lawn mower bag).
- Then you re-run over the area with bagger!
- After mulching, why did I even bother to pick up the leaves? I don't see any leaves left!
- I only got 3 bags of leaves/grass over this 50' diameter circle.
- Two of the bags seemed mostly grass!
- But picking the stuff up makes useful mulch.
- Where did the leaves go? ... ..magic?? (HA!)
- I use a tethered lawnmower to mow most of my grass, but I'M not tethered to the mower as you riding tractor guys are ... Oh! but I forget, it gets you away from the nagging wife/husband? (HA!)
- I love to beat "The System"! (HA!)
- I use 5 pivot points, covering about 3/4 of my lawn.
- I use a 6" diameter pivot point, each rotation pulling the lawnmower in about 18" each revolution, (you know pi X D).
- For raking: I overlapped a lot, about a 6" "new" path each rev.
- You-all using expensive riding mowers... ... WHY?
- I'd love to know how big a circle this method could do, why I could be having a beer(s), while the thing runs!
- Rear drive lawn mowers have best traction.
- Could have a safety over ride if tether breaks or end of cut, but chances of a real problem are nil out here in the boonies!
Smart!
