  • I love this song, thankyou for posting. I do seem to remember hearing one time, a song by Judy Collins called, "Love Song to a Whale." I can't find it anywhere...do you know of it?

  • @normalil I never heard of that title but she wrote a song called "Farewell to Tarwathie" that included the sounds of whales singing. Try searching for it.

  • Great ! Wonderful song written and sang by the purest voice !

This video is faithful to the song and the pictures by Jane Dyer which illustrate the book dedicated to this song. Great thanks !

  • Glad you like it. Didn't even know there was a book dedicated to this song. I'll have to track that down.

  • Absolutely perfect, crystal clear. No overdubbing, no silly vocal embelishments. It's just a pure and trained voice that floats on air with angel wings.

  • She did not record her own work very often but it was usually a glorious surprise when she did. This song is as good as it gets -- both musically and lyrically. It is up there with the best work by the great Singer/Writers of that time period.

  • Thanks so much, Judy, for creating this beautiful song, but it was Nina Simone who took it not to the nexl level, but to the ultimate one, simply amazing.

  • Where have the ballad singers gone? Gone to graveyards everyone.

  • woohoo english hw ps its nick

  • Danced to this once, very beautiful song

  • @nytechyld100 I'm sorry for your loss.

  • There is so much in this song that speaks to our lost dreams and hopes from our childhood. It is a wonderful song by a spectacular artist.

  • sooo beautiful :)

  • @nytechyld100 What a beautiful song. The best recording is on the "Who Knows Where the Time Goes" album....I have two daughters who love this song because it feeds their dreams. I have already taken them to France twice and I am teaching them to speak French. I plan to buy a home in southern France within the next two years. The last line of the song, "....like boats across the Seine and watch the Paris sun set in my father's eyes again...." I cry sometimes when I hear it.
