i dont see how someone can this sucks or stump sucks and that malmsteen is any better. they both may sound similar but they have their own styles and have very different feels to their songs. both are excellent guitarists and both are very technical. unless you are better than either, how can you say they suck? if you dont like the artist, dont listen to their music.

I'm pretty sure most guitarists are entitled to their own opinion, even if they DON'T play watered down versions of someone else's music. REAL PLAYERS know the difference between Yngwie and Stump, just like they know the difference between Elvis and an Elvis impersonator who writes his own music. Whether or not you like the guy or compare him with Malmsteen, all of you turds who are ripping on his play WISH you could do what he does. REAL PLAYERS dont rip on guys like that because they understand the years of practice and dedication to the instrument that it takes to get that good. Maybe you critical boys should spend more time with guitar in hand rather than your dick. Maybe just maybe you'll get half as good as Stump, OR ANYONE ELSE for that matter.

Not bad Joe. I've been playing guitar for 27 years. If I were you I would slow it down and make sure every note is intelligible. Also sounds like your playing through some solid state distortion which will keep you from your fullest potential. Tube distortion just connects with the pick ups and your dynamics over all. Yes Yngwie is the master but the things I mentioned are exactly what he does: tube amp distortion, some reverb for depth, Listen to Eric Johnson and Yngwie, cleanest players.
