    The worst calls are the ones where they are unapologetic and wrap themselves in self-delusion. Jim Joyce took responsibility and that shows character on his part. I'll take a man with character making decisions rather than a man who deludes himself and tries to delude others any day.

    Looking back at this call every now & then helps me keep my faith in umpires. If only Angel Hernandez could take this page out of Jim's book; it's one thing to blow an obvious call, but to not admit wrongdoing makes Angel the worst umpire in the league.
