Thank You , this was my mother's favorite song and she would sing it to me when I was a little girl, I was also born in 1950 and she was certainly a Tennessee girl, Johnson City.  She passed away in 1979 .

I just remember all us girls singing this outloud in the girls gym getting dressed for gym and after class. It was such a popular song and we all imagined ourselves Patty Page. Saw her on film on PBS tonight. Thought I'd look up this early rendition. My the memories.
