Can't say that disney would make a character racist.
Syd was the rule keeping hard ass, working to be a red ranger like his father, but instead is placed second from an ungrateful, unqualified, rule breaking guy.
Don't get me wrong I liked Jack, he was a good red ranger, and I barely even liked the SPD series. But the whole "I want to be red" complex made a good character development for Sky, and not a racist

wild force was horrible, they were always getting their asses kicked. but the forever red episode was very good was good that was my favorite of wild force and my boy recorded the episode.

The entire Operation Overdrive team just didn't click for me. Tyzonn killed the credibility of sixth rangers; Mack was too grieving when he couldn't accept the fact Andrew programmed him with all that data. Same goes for Casey in Jungle Fury. He acted like a pretty demanding red ranger. Gosh this is why we should bring back female PR leaders. Karone, I admit she was pretty whining in LG though I thought she had a pretty good background. I'm surprised you didn't put Kelsey on the list.
