The two witnesses of REV 11, searching for their identity, JR Church and Gary Stearman from prophecyinthenews.com

the Keil&Delitzsch commentary of Deut 34:5-6 says:

The fact itself that the Lord buried His servant Moses, and no man knows of his sepulchre, is in perfect keeping with the relation in which Moses stood to the Lord while he was alive... As Kurtz observes, "The purpose of God was to prepare for him a condition, both of body and soul, resembling that of these two men of God. Men bury a corpse that it may pass into corruption. If Jehovah, therefore, would not suffer the body of Moses to be buried by men, it is but natural to seek for the reason in the fact that He did not intend to leave him to corruption, but, when burying it with His own hand, imparted a power to it which preserved it from corruption, and prepared the way for it to pass into the same form of existence to which Enoch and Elijah were taken, without either death or burial."

Jud 1:9 But Michael the archangel, when contending with the Devil, he argued about the body of Moses; he dared not bring a judgment of blasphemy, but said, "Let the Lord rebuke you!"

I believe the dispute over the body of Moses meant that Micahel wanted to move the body from where the Lord buried it and take it to heaven. The transfiguration event reveals Elijah and Moses both with bodies on earth which makes me believe that Moses had had already his body changed.

Anyway it is appointed to men to die once, Heb 9:27, may not apply to Moses if he is one of the witnesses because both witnesses would have uncorrupted or anyway special bodies throwing fires out of their mouths. So it is possible for Moses to die twice as it will be possible for many of us never to die because of the rapture. So there are exceptions to Heb 9:27.

My personal belief is that the two witnesses will come with the Lord at the rapture from heaven and not being born on earth again, and a picture of that is in Gen 18-19, the judgment over Sodom and Gomorrah, where the Lord came with two angels but he let the angels execute judgment, compare Gen 19: 9-11 with Rev 11:5.

  • JR Church alleges theres corruptions in my Bible without telling them, then he seems to lean more upon the writings of the "Rabbis". If the Bible says Mosses died, then he died, and his body is corrupted, nit my Bible. I think the second unnamed witness will be a modern day world wide known person ,but i'm not making doctrine.

  • @altops JR Church is not alleging there are corruptions in your Bible. He was specifically mentioning that the particular passage of the Book of Enoch (not the Bible) he was quoting from is questionable as being written by Enoch.

  • I have a 50 part series on the two witnesses of Rev.11

if you seek you shall find.

  • v=YDRsC9Y_-nM please view my witness

  • No they are not Moses and Elijah! They will have the "same power". They wil be two physical flesh amd blood beings that will be shot dead,, Spirit cannot die at all! ! So we can rule out two spiritual types There is no second death for what you are guessing... Also, lose the suits!

  • The Two Witnesses God calls My Two Witnesses are Michael and Gabriel. They are the cherubs on top of the Ark and in the temple. God speaks between his two witnesses. They stand by God always. They are born onto the earth now like Jesus, and they will die like Jesus, be raised like Jesus and ascend into heaven like Jesus hence they are from heaven.

  • God can do what he wishes…End of discussion. Has JR passed?? :(

  • @altops J.R. Church NEVER once alleged that there were corruptions in the Bible; he said that Moses died as the last chapter of Deuteronomy says, yet there are good Rabbinical sources that suggest that his death was not the natural way that we think of death as being. That's not a contradiction with the Bible ... rather, it is just a possible scenario based on what the Bible says.

  • Moses was buried by the Lord, Elijah and Enoch were translated, therefore none of these Old Testament Saint can be the Two Witnesses, for they will be killed by the AntiChrist! If translated, their bodies have changed from corruption to incorruption like that of those alive at the time of the Rapture.

  • @altops Not in the Bible but in the Book of Enoch... if you subscribe to the magazine he goes into detail explaining it over several months.
