Just to throw my two cents our there... Brawl was rushed. Yep! Nintendo slap that thing together because people got pissed that the release date was pushed... Anyway Basic Brawl is limited because of the simple fact that... Well, that's its name BASIC Brawl... Its not like they limited options with friends... Overall, the wii itself was meant for party gamers... If you wanna blame someone for why Brawl sucks... Blame those who complained on why Melee is so "hard".

Some reasons were spot on (Brawl's shit connection and limited online gaming options, and slipping if turning to fast.) but the rest is just ridiculous. It takes minimal effort to avoid being juggled by a basic limitless combo, seriously just hold down on the analog stick and block, It's not that difficult.
