MONDAY - 星期一 (shin chiˊii)
TUESDAY - 星期二 (shin chiˊrrrrˋ)
WEDNESDAY - 星期三 (shin chiˊ san)
THURSDAY - 星期四 (shin chiˊsiˋ)
FRIDAY - 星期五 (shin chiˊ wooˇ)
SATURDAY - 星期六 (shin chiˊ liaoˋ)
SUNDAY - 星期"天" (shin chiˊ tian)
I forgot to mention that Sunday is pronounced differently; we say tian, which means the sky, for Sunday.

Greetings from Japan. I recently bought two Bei Jing Mandarin textbooks written for Japanese. I have got as far as "there are three bottles of beers in the fridge" "Is there a bank?" "How many of you are there in your family" etc.

I have noticed that the tone designations are different for the same word between Taiwanese Mandarin and Bei Jing Mandarin. For example, we are taught that xing qi or the week day is in fact xing(1) qi(1).
