One of the greatest aspects of the show was its ability to captivate people with varied settings and landscapes. I think the use of sailplanes, in this episode for example, really showed how the show would vary the details of the many adventures that Lee Majors was required to play out. This particular episode, also shows a rare instance where Steve's bionics are disrupted and distorted requiring repair. This happened very rarely in the series! I also liked the use of kids in a lot of these shows - it made being a kid "fun" and sort of part of the program! Mr. Majors is often seen as a father figure in many of these shows and this one is no exception. I think in real life, he probably enjoyed the company of children.
Damn this bionic arthritis

At 0:50, that woman is clearly Lt. Marlena Moreau from Star Trek's "Mirror Mirror" episode!! Also, at 1:28, little "Billy" decides to stop running amok and comes to a perfect stop within a coil of rope! Talking about a lack of situational awareness...funny as hell! "Goodbye, little Billy!! The human gene pool will truly miss your genetic contribution of stupidity!!!"....ooops, Steve saves him just in time. "Maybe next time, Billy!!!"

Has anyone realized that if he grabbed a modern vehicle by the bumper the bumper would simply fall off. Vehicle construction methods have changed a lot between the 1970's and now.

yes it's fiction..but..Question: how can you use your "bionic parts"like a machine to save a child from acid,or a burning building if you have "pain" receptors in them? yea i wont die to save someone..but it will hurt like hell the shock itself would keep you focused on the pain you would have to focus on other means to help them..the should of scripted a off switch..for the "pain"

Are you aware that "The Six Million Dollar Man" and "The Bionic Woman" are coming out on DVD in the U.S. and Canada this fall. The first season of "The Bionic Woman will be out in stores on Oct. 19. The entire series of "The Six Million Dollar Man" will be out on Nov. 23, BUT it will not be sold in stores. You have to order it through TimeLife. Pass the word.
