  • Any home can be shook, burned, and broken. At least they are cheaper than commercial bricks.

  • I assume dome and cylinder adobe homes will stand up far better than this?

  • @JustMakingComments they are testing a low cost reinforcement system for adobe that can be used for new constructions and also as retrofit for existing buildings, not proposing what form you should build. An adobe dome will not necesarly resist such movements, in general any adobe structures even domes need reinforcement systems to resist earthquakes.

  • @JustMakingComments yes ofcourse..

  • We solved Problem with adding Old rubber Tires chopped up and plastic which make it bounce

  • Is evident that adobe homes show a great deal of flexibility during an earthquake. The problem is that the structures experience periodic deterioration making it less resistant to each subsequent event. xxxxxx, P.E.

  • errrrr.... i was in san sebastian in el salvador that day and this test is nothing compared with what happened it wasn't an horizontal movement, it was more like a wave in the sea

  • im recenting reading about adobe homes, they look nice, yet they're not seem enough strong for me, i'm in dubt. nice video

  • I lived that earthquake in El Salvador, and it fells to me that it was a little bit stronger than that, also a bit longer.

  • Simple system and elegant application. System should have real potential in the field.

The point is to SAVE LIVES.

    Excellent video quality.
