  • This is the inner dialogue of someone so bitterly burned by love and life and who in spite of terrible suffering ...must go on...

    for love...More than any other composer I've heard,Borodin captures the raw vulnerable existence of what it is to be a soul as a human in this realm....ever vaccilating between triumph and despair.What a Rhetoric this is!

  • No performance of this I have ever heard comes close to this magnificent realization; I can see why this group named themselves after the creator of this sublime music. They play with divine expression at exactly the right tempo, and are unafraid to use portamento. I am sick unto madness at people who try to "clean up" Romantic music! They have ice water in their veins and are just ignorant.

  • 素晴らしい!

  • @ironmagma As the owner of no less than five complete sets of Shostakovich Quartets, as great as the three that I have from the Borodin's from different periods with different leaders, I wouldn't want to be without the cycle by the Beethoven Quartet (who were friends with the composer and premiered many of the quartets), and the Shostakovich Quartet. The Emerson's also play well but they don't dig quite as deep into the set as the aforementioned historical quartets do I feel.

  • Es como un sueño, como que la brisa de la tarde te lleva volando por el cielo en silencio y tu imaginación no para. Tomense un vino y disfruten de esta joya.

  • BRAVO !!!

  • Exquisite music.

  • Borodin's a chemist with themes romantic;

    Borodin Quartet's approach: fantastic.

  • Romantic....

  • I disagree. I can't find anyone on youtube that plays it how I want to hear it. :(

  • Heavenly.
