A peanut butter cake recipe for the specific carbohydrate diet. This is a really good cake if you can't tolerate the almond flour! This is one of my favorites! Its fluffy and moist, just like real cake!

I got the recipe from Raman Prasad's website

  • I am surprised that I reacted to Almond flour, I wonder why. What other flour is good for making bread?

  • @qasion This recipe uses peanut butter as the "flour", not almonds. I can't handle almonds either, and honestly, I've always hated the way almond flour tasted. One alternative that some SCD'ers have been using is "coconut flour". Its very fibrous so don't try it unless your symptoms are clear :)

  • @fernpixel What about hazelnuts flour,,I hear that it is a better chice, so I heard?

  • @qasion It might be. I never tried it because its expensive hehehe

  • Are you serious? I don't even know what SCD is and this looks delicious! I love the fact that it has no flour, saves me on the refined flour and the carbs. This really is a healthy cake. Thank you for the recipe, I can't wait to try it!

  • @LadyofTheSummer It is quite yummy! Its not really healthy though... even if it doesn't have flour, its still loaded with fatty peanut butter lol. But at least there isn't any flour. :)

  • @qasion So do you eat bread?????????

  • Why dont you mash bananas with a fork...? xD

  • Will you get a strong banana flavor iin the cake? I am just asking because I absolutely love peanut butter, and I usually go for the dominant peanut butter taste. BTW this looks delicious. Thanks for posting.

  • @purpledcitrus Her cake looked very yummy, I am thinking about trying it, but can you share your similar cake without the banana? Thanks.

  • this looks interesting, delicious and n u t r i t i o u s :-O

I will give a try - recipe is original and I like your easy going style. Will subsrcibe.

    Take care and keep doing.

  • @fernpixel In addition, the right type of fats & cholesterol contribute to healthy cell walls & cell wall function. Coupled with those strong cell walls, strong digestion and proper bacterial population in the gut make up two pillars of health. Elaine Gotschall supports the strong digestion & health connection. Fish Oil intake on a regular basis has little if any negative health consequences. On the contrary, it is very healthy, and also contributes to healthy red blood cells. Check it out.
