I want to ask a wacky question. Could you put a small part of vasciline on the reed so you would never have to wet it?
-
could you make a outline at the end of the video? through 16 minutes of instruction of both the videos, ive only learned to wet the thin part of the reed and balance it. and i dont see what i missed

Once again, a sensible approach to a clarinet-related subject instead of the usual complicated, pain-in-the-butt, high-tech, illogical voodoo promulgated by many of the so-called clarinet intelligentsia.

Tom, thank you VERY much for this video. This will help a lot of people that are concerned and worried what to do with so many different methods of breaking, excuse me, conditioning the reeds. I have started to try your method the last time I got your answer from email, and it works. By golly it works. Thanks again, and continue with the fantastic video updates!
I am not an English native speaker. What does "balance the reed" exactly mean?

re: biting and injury
biting can also lead to TMJ disfunction, a cumulative injury that takes a VERY long time to heal.

Yes, these things are true, but it makes clarinet playing suck.
