IBM explains world fastest Chip, and each Chip has Two Cores at 4.7GHZ with 790 Million transistors Holly Challa Palooza!!! I love Dual Cores and don't like Quad cores. I will stick with a 4.7GHZ Dual core.
IBM nice move.

  • @TerminatorSony please watch apple explaining the megahertz myth /watch?v=w9VWRB07yqc

  • my i5 2500k runs at 4.8ghz and is stable. (28 C room) 32 C low 56 C high temp only wish i had the bandwidth of this chip though

  • Darn I have a PS3 powered by a P6 now all i only need is a hack to run AIX

  • @sparky1570784 you were correct.

  • @TerminatorSony, WRONG. Los Lunas New Mexico! there servers are run on i7 990X's, ok so what 4.7 on a dual core so in theroy you have 9.4Ghz, good...good now if you take the 990x (with hyperthreading off) 4 cores at 3.4 you'd get around 13.4Ghz now with hyperthreading, 8 cores 27.2Ghz, learn math and how stuff works. UMad?

  • @TerminatorSony my mistake i thought it was talking about a i6, never mind you are right. but i did see this one guy get his pc to 5.1 ghz without a power 6

  • @sparky1570784 WRONG i7 Extreme cost 1200$, Power6 cost more than 4K$ and power6 has 4.7GHZ, i7 has 3.4GHZ we don't care about how many Cores you have 4 6 8 or 12 we want the Highest GHZ possible and i7 does not have it even if you Overclock still can't Outmatch the 4.7GHZ Power6.

  • But can it run Crysis??

  • @marioman971 lol my motherboard became crap. it doesnt accept 3.5gb ram anymore. the motherboard only working with 1gb now. i needs new computer.

  • @WLOfails old chip less than average. I spent $400 on apc w/athlon II x2 255 Dualcore @ 3.1ghz and 4 gb ddr3 ram.
