Orcs were originally a peaceful shamanistic race, until they were possesed my the dark magic of the pit lord mannoroth. Their normally brown skin turned green once tainted by the evil magic. The orcish race were enslaved as bloodlusting warriors. However, once grom hellscream and thrall defeated the pit lord the orcs were set free.
Their culture has long relied on the axe as the weapon of choice. This instrument of war is valued so highly that it is taught to all Orcs.
