6 minutes of a quick ride thru some trails just west of Grand Marais, MN.

Updated 1/17/09... Youtube muted the sound for this. Van Halen, who I saw twice, was one of the artists I had playing background music on this. I understand Eddie's not wanting anyone to copy his music, and at times, turns his back to the audience so no one can duplicate or find out his unique methods of creating music and sound. This seems reasonable, however, playing his music for others to enjoy and appreciate is all I was trying to do to enhance the viewers pleasure. Too bad it has come to this. I will redo this video soon, and leave his song off, and hopefully find another appropriate one to use. Sorry for any (temporary) problems that arise.

I had to add some "dream" music, so it appears very cloudlike now. Kinda takes away from the raw edgy feel it had, and the resolution in the video isn't as clear as I planned. Whatever, at least it's "legal" (for now!).

I know this trail by heart. I put on about 800-1000 miles on that trail system and surrounding areas each year. My favorite section of trail is west of there a ways towards Trestle Inn.

man those are some nice trails up there! Much better then the crap we had down here just south of the cities! Can't wait, were few months away from getting the white stuff on the ground soon baby!!! :)

where exactly is this? I know where Grand Marias is. Does the trail lead up into the Gun Flint trail?? More info, I plan I making a trip up there this year!

This is on the North Shore State Trail, between the two access trails into Devils Track Lake. You follow the access trails long enough and it will get you onto the Gunflint Trail system. Lots of great scenic trails up there.
