I saw your dad fight several times in his career and I trained out of the same gym. You have all the tools and genetics on your side. Just keep putting work in and it will pay off in HUGE dividends. It already has. Just keep your goals in front of you and the rest will work its way out. God bless.

Don't give that idiot "genius" a thought, Wil. I think that guy is Bernard Hawks out of New Jersey. He's a sheltered nobody. You'd easily beat him within 2rds. Just go with God and follow what Danny and Pat tell you, they'll serve you well and nothing makes Danny happier than putting in some hard work. I trained at the GIAC for over 15 years, on-and-off when I was older, but fought over 100 amateur fights, most of them in the military. Train hard and show the world you're a contender.

the difference between THE CHAMP and the "genius" besides the fact that he's a better fighter is that THE CHAMP has class!! He doesnt need to TRY to belittle any other boxer to make himself better. But I do thank u for supporting and motivating him! You make him better! At least you do realize in order to really be the better boxer you HAVE to beat him.

Willie Monroe Jr is ALREADY a champion. While he couldn't get as far as he has without the tutalage from Danny Akers and others, his ambition, drive and determination is what has gotten him this far. I hope that his honesty, integrity and dedication to the sport of boxing will not affect his awe inspiring qualities as a human being. He is sincere, honest and humble; all the qualities of a world renowned boxing champion I'm sure he will become.
